The Big Top at Luna Park has played host to worldwide talent including Soundgarden, Calvin Harris, Bruno Mars, Kylie Minogue and more! We also host a variety of events including combat sports, ballroom dancing, ballet, concerts, roller derby, children’s events such as Yo Gabba Gabba and Hi-5, as well as annual festivals, exhibitions and conferences. To facilitate a seamless event ticketing experience we require a fun and eager Ticketing and Event Services Coordinator committed to service excellence to coordinate event ticketing procedures and systems and event day operation of front of house services and box office operations.

Reporting to the Ticketing and Event Services Manager, your key responsibilities will include staff scheduling and management (selection, training and development); administration, financial record keeping and reporting; asset management; stakeholder management and database maintenance. You will also assist in ticketing best practice; build and upkeep of ticketing systems and processes for shows & events; support on the ground in a hands-on capacity with general public bookings and operate the Box Office during Big Top events. You will also drive and coordinate the FOH Event Services Team responsible for ticketing, ushering, cloakroom, RSA, event merchandise, information and general event customer service, as well as assist all departments in the efficient and safe running of an event.

Your key to success in this role will rely on:

  • Competent user of computerised ticket sales, SABO, Ticketserve and SwiftPOS
  • Strong ticket operations experience
  • Knowledge of event planning and coordination, equipment and practices typical to the entertainment industry
  • Proven experience supervising teams of multiple related areas and the public in a guest service environment
  • Valid NSW RSA and maintain currency during employment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word and Excel
  • Adobe CS (Photoshop and Illustrator desirable)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML (desirable)
  • Experience with web content management systems such as Drupal, Joomla or Wordpress (desirable)
  • Ability to foster a cooperative fair environment, lead and motivate others to achieve results
  • Work effectively in both a team and independently; receive guidance in tasks to meet strict deadlines
  • Display sound decision making skills
  • Excellent time management and organization, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and solve problems effectively
  • Commitment towards delivering quality guest service
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate high level of attention to detail
  • Training experience is desirable
  • Flexibility to work shifts in line with venue operational requirements that may require weekend, evening and public holiday work
